Mathijs from the Netherlands, 26 years old, tells us about his first experiences with leather and as a young sub
Hi Mathijs, can you tell us about your earliest memories about leather and submission? When did you first have an interest in these topics?
Well, I think this must have been when I was 21 years old. I saw some movies on the internet that turned me on instantly. Mainly the masculinity and the tough look of the leather appealed to me very much. And it definitely made me want to try it myself as well.
And when was your first chance to actually wear leather?
This was in 2020, when I had a date with someone with a lot of experience with leather. It turned out to be a very nice evening, because my date took time to let me try different things. He clearly knew how to put me at ease and that made it very worthwhile. Nevertheless is was very exciting to me, my heart was pounding in my chest for the first part of the date. But I remember mostly how wearing leather made me feel; a bit tough, masculine and…. well… horny hahaha
So I can imagine that made you want to buy some leather gear yourself as well?
Yes indeed. At the time of my first experiences with leather I was still living at home with my parents. In the mean time I moved out and live on my own now, so I’m excited to buy my first chaps or pair of jeans soon. Probably at RoB or MisterB, and hopefully with some advice from someone with more experience.
Can you tell us more about what happened since your first experience with leather?
Well, since then the feeling that I want to wear leather has only grown stronger. I have a big interest in learning more about BDSM and what that world has to offer. This means I’m seeing other guys that are into leather, and also get to be submissive with guys I trust.
What’s that like for you: to be submissive?
To give up control and let someone else take the lead makes me feel horny, happy and in the right place, but it has to be with someone I trust. To give up control and let someone else take the lead is I even had the opportunity of being submissive in while some others were watching. That was thrilling, but also very nice. But this was only possible because of the safe environment created by the dominant person, and the fact that I knew I could totally trust him. Up front he told me what was going to happen, and we agreed on a sign that I could give in case I wanted to stop. This way I still had some control, but that also made me able to totally surrender to him and the situation.
So does that mean you’d do that again?
Yes, definitely. But again: with people I trust, in a safe environment. And… with lots of leather 🙂
What would be your advice for people that have the same interests or desires?
Find someone that you feel you can trust, talk about it, and see if you can discover things together. If you don’t know anyone, a dating app or dating site might be a good idea. But spend some time talking / chatting first, so you have a good feeling that there is a match of interests.
